Admissions: Inpatient Referral Guidelines

Inpatient services at Bloorview Kids Rehab are a component of the Rehabilitation and Complex Continuing Care Program. Inpatient services are subdivided into three distinct areas:

• Brain Injury Rehab
• Specialized Orthopedic and Developmental Rehab
• Complex Continuing Care

Respite Services are available within each area.

Clients admitted for inpatient care may be:

• Tracheostomy dependent
  
• Oxygen dependent
• Ventilator dependentor

and/or requires:

• Intravenous therapy - peripheral and central line
• Wound management
• Tube feeding
