Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What you should bring to a clinic appointment or admission:

  • Your child’s Ontario health card
  • Your child’s Bloorview Kids Rehab card
  • Any items listed in your appointment letter
  • Any current medications your child is taking
  • Family doctor’s name and telephone number
  • Information about allergies to drugs or food
  • Any current prosthetics, orthotics or walking aids
  • Health-care insurance information or drug card
  • Medical information, such as x-rays, CT scans, etc. if available

Depending on your length of stay, you might also bring:

  • Toys for your child to play with

Additional things to bring if your child is being admitted:  

If you are coming to stay at Bloorview in one of the inpatient units (rehab or complex care), you should bring the following:

  • Your child’s clothes, including pajamas, housecoat, sweaters, t-shirts, pants, slippers and shoes
  • Any special toys or family photos to remind your child of home
  • Toiletries such as a tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, soap, brush, lip balm, hand and body lotion

Remember to put your name on everything.

A coin operated washing machine and dryer are available for inpatient families to use.

Inpatient rooms have arm chairs that pull out into sleeper chairs that a parent can use to sleep overnight at their child’s bedside. Only one parent is allowed to stay in the child’s room.
